Rewards Programs that actually Save You Money!

As a young mother, your main stresses is money, right? Making sure you have enough money to pay the bills, feed yourself and your baby/babies, and try and save some too! One of the things I learned to take advantage of as a young mother were: rewards programs. Rewards programs are incentive programs designed to reward the customer for frequent purchases. I have become an expert at these! I watch my sales closely &  I always make sure I’m maximizing all my opportunities to save money and earn my rewards. Now in my experience, every rewards system is not great. I have seen some that truly are designed just to make you spend money. But with that being said let me show you the programs that I use constantly that ACTUALLY save me money:

Earn 1 point for every $1 you spend at Gymboree, Gymboree.com and Gymboree Outlet. For every 250 points earned, you’ll receive a $5 rewards certificate.

Real Life scenario: I find I get the most savings from this program when I’m buying for holiday events ( Easter outfits, Christmas pictures…). By the time I bought twoholiday dresses, matching shoes., and outfit my son I earned Ggymbucks! Those “Gymbucks” could be used towards the next in-store purchase. Another added benefit is they will give you a courtesy call when it’s time to use your Gymbucks again!

Sign up for the Pampers Rewards program, and turn diaper purchases into gift cards, toys, books, portrait packages and more. Just enter the points codes from your diaper packages online, and search through the reward catalog to choose the reward for you.

Real life scenario:

When my kids were newborns up to the age of 1 ,I felt like all my life consisted of was buying diapers. With the Pampers  Rewards Program, they have codes inside each package that you save and enter them for points that translate into gift cards, toys and more. For me, I used all my points towards getting gifts for my kids for Christmas! So it was a two for one deal!

Join AutoZone Rewards to earn a $20 Reward when you make 5 purchases of $20 or more.

Real life scenario:

Let me start by saying I am not a fan of cars in general, if I had it my way I’d never drive again. But that isn’t the reality of life with the 3 kids. This rewards system is a no-brainer because it does the work for you. Think about it: you’re always gonna need new windshield wipers, oil, license plate lights, car wash cleaner, air fresheners, and the list goes on! The next thing you know you will have earned your $20 reward, more money saved!

Always eating at Panera? Get a MyPanera Card, and have them scan it each time you order. You then earn rewards for free beverages, sweets or some other form of a favorite menu item.

Real life scenario:

Um, this applies to every day of my life because I love food. Because of my rewards , some days I don’t have to pay a single dollar for breakfast or my coffee. Who doesn’t love free food?

Buy a Starbuck’s gift card; then register it for the My Starbucks Rewards program. Every time you use your card, you’ll earn a star (2 stars for every $1 spent), which add up to free food and drinks. In addition to your rewards stars, rewards members are eligible for free birthday rewards and free in-store refills!

Real life scenario:

Let’s just say in my hometown at least 2 Starbucks locations know me by name and have my orders memorized. I wonder how many free drinks I’ve gotten this year? Tons I bet! Coffee is life to me.

6.meijer

Get rewarded for the way you shop at Meijer, plus earn extra savings with Pharmacy and m Card Rewards. Rewards apply when you enter your mPerks ID and PIN at checkout. Sign up for Mperks here.

Real life scenario:

This rewards program has probably saved me the most money it’s so user-friendly. You download the app after downloading, enter your cell phone number and create a PIN. From there you go skim the app’s online coupons and you tap on all the coupons that you want to use when you go grocery shopping. All the coupon that you’ve tapped go straight to the number and pin that you have set up and will automatically be deducted at the checkout. As an added bonus all the money you spend goes towards rewards goals, once you reach a rewards goal it unlocks coupon to rewards like $5 dollars off your next purchase, $11 dollars off your next purchase and so on. It has allowed me to go to Meijers and get pull-ups and wipes for free countless times!

I hope these make your financial journey a little easier!

  1. Thanks for the info. Definitely will take a break from the Children’s Place and focus on Gymboree now that I know they have a rewards program. And now that there is a Panera Breads 10 minutes away, I will be visiting more often which means I need a ‘my Panera card’ – I love free stuff!

  2. I?m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that?s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
